BCAA – Isoleucine, Leucine, Valine and Lipolysis It is well known that the branched chain amino acids (BCAA) are elementary components for building muscle tissue. The BCAA is a key element in the process of protein synthesis. BCAA (isoleucine, leucine and valine) regulate many key signaling pathways like the activation of the motor signaling pathway. (1) Increasing levels of BCAA in the diet enhances lipolysis (fat burning)


(2) The BCAA, mainly isoleucine, is very important in enhancing glucose consumption and utilization. (3) BCAA are beneficial for pregnant women enhancing milk quality and embryo growth. (4) BCAA participate in up-regulating innate and adaptive immune responses. These new scientific findings enhances the importance of BCAA supplementation, not only for improving physical performance and muscle growth, but also to promote health and quality of life.
